We're now an official distributor in the province of New Brunswick for Generation 2 FiltrationTM (G2F) ‘by-pass’ oil filters.
G2F is a leading oil ‘by-pass’ filtration system. It removes ultra-fine contamination down to 1 micron and water at 99.97% from oil!
It works on:
- diesel engines,
- hydraulic systems,
- transmissions,
- gear boxes, and
- water glycol systems.
Ultra-fine contamination and water in oil is normally missed by existing ‘full-flow’ oil filters. The G2F system dramatically extends the life of the oil, at the same time reducing mechanical wear on the component. There are over 800 filtration units currently in operation in Atlantic Canada alone.

Generation 2 Filtration™ systems are proven to maximize oil life and the equipment the oil lubricates (please see attached diesel engine and hydraulic oil sample analysis). The G2F system will maintain hydraulic oil cleanliness levels up to 4 ISO grades cleaner than the ISO cleanliness of oil when it is purchased new.
Here are some key points regarding the G2F systems:
- Being a ‘by-pass’ filter, it can be installed on virtually any machine or equipment, without modifications to the existing filtration system or the operation of the equipment. We simply obtain a source of oil pressure from the component (main pressure gauge, pressure port, oil cooler), filter the oil via the housing and element, before returning the polished oil free of water back to the oil reservoir.
- The element removes ultra-fine contamination down to 1 micron. Standard diesel engine oil filters are 25 microns, while a standard hydraulic filter is 15 microns (human hair is typically 75 microns in diameter).
- The element removes water from oil at 99.97% on a single pass, dramatically reducing the formation of acids, prolonging the health and life of oil and minimizing corrosive action within the component. Spin-on filters are not designed to remove or retain water.
- The filter will maintain hydraulic cleanliness levels up to 5 ISO grades cleaner than the cleanliness grade of new hydraulic oil.
- Physical inspection of the used element can identify a leaky cooler, as well as provide insight to the overall health of a hydraulic system.
- The filter can prolong diesel engine oil by up to a factor of 5 (depending upon the engine, operator, and working environment).
- Physical inspection of the used element from a diesel engine can identify coolant leaks and leaky injectors.
- ROI on a diesel engine normally would be the time for 4-5 ‘normal’ oil change intervals (based on oil change costing $200).
- ROI on a hydraulic system would be greater but over a longer period of time; however, the ROI is immediate if the system is experiencing a water contamination problem.
- Both systems remove ultra-fine contamination, dramatically reducing mechanical wear, increasing the life of the component, while reducing your long-term maintenance costs.
